We know we have had 437 NH Festival races since 2003.

FACT: Almost 25% of those contained a runner who had raced at Huntingdon LTO. In fact, there were 132 such horses in 103 races, who had been to the charming Cambridgeshire track and for an A/E of 0.15, they produced one winner and 16 places for a loss of £125. That horse – extraordinarily – was SHISKIN at 6/1 in the Supreme Novices Hurdle. However, among the host of other fancied failures of more recent years, were DIVIN BERE, MESSIRE DES OBEAUX, SCEAU ROYAL, BUVEUR D’AIR, YOU’RE THE TOP, GARDE CHAMPETRE… you get the picture.

You could relatively safely add Ludlow and Taunton to give you 336 runners in 196 races producing 3 winners and 42 places. The £314 loss would not have been mitigated by the placed horses and you would have shown a £371.80 loss for going e/w. The A/E is 0.18.

RULE: Eliminate any horses that ran at Huntingdon LTO and consider carefully scratching those that ran at Ludlow and Taunton LTO.

HELP KEEP THE RACEWEB VOICE ALIVE

Annual domain registrations, site hosting, software licences, form guides, research costs and a host of other minor and but not inconsequential outgoings are the burden for all website owners.

Even the smallest donation can make the difference between the Off and On switch.

It’s not just that once in a while we actually prove accurate, and you possibly make a bit of pocket money, but occasionally, we might perhaps suggest a view that could possibly change someone’s mind. For the better.

That’s a lot of Maybes and Possiblies, but sometimes we have to try and change a plan or encourage them to move a mountain, and if that means we make you smile, or shout with anger, or shake with laughter, then Huzzah!

That’s your donation that did that. Thank You.
