“A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries."

UPDATED: Rain-impacted selections revisited for Saturday

These Donors Are AMAZING Thank You

William S – MEJi – Peter N – Nigel B – Ken C – Mark S – James D – William M – Fiona M – Julian A – Jonathan H – Mrs V.M – Pete BN – Gavin C – Thom S – Sarah C – Mark S – Sam H – James R

When I finally stepped down last night/this AM, I was soaked between office and bed. This morning, the going has changed and Lingfield is now as of 12:00 Soft – GS in places. The rain has only just stopped, and unless they have new drainage in, Lingfield tends to hold its water. Ascot is also now Soft. I am therefore just going to whizz through those horse at Lingfield and Ascot who might be able to handle the conditions. They are:

Not on TV but covered by Raceweb. Ling: 1:40 NATTY NIGHT Win – NOONDAY GUN e/w – LISHEEN CATLE not without possibilities

Ling 2:15 DIVINELY has won on Heavy e/w

Ling 14:50 ADAYER Win

Ling 3:25 BOUNCE THE BLUES – JOUSKA – PARENTS PRAYER – ISABELLA GILES have all won Listed class or better and have all won on Soft ground. I have already tipped ISABELLA GILES and remain positive. PARENTS PRAYER might make a nice e/w shot.

Ling 4:00 ETON COLLEGE has G/S victories to his name. No recommendation

Ascot 1:55 POETS LADY has Soft ground form and CONSERVATOIRE has won on Heavy. Consider dutching the pair.

Ascot 14:30 None of these have won a Listed or better race, but four of them have won on Soft. TYSON FURY – WITHOUT A FIGHT – DEJA – TRIBAL CRAFT. The first of these has also won at Ascot and is 3lb better off than his last winning weight. at 12s in the ground, he’s backable, if Kieren Shoemark can move over from Draw 6.

Ascot 15:05 No form

Ascot 15:40 Bearing in mind the high draw thinking, I still like JUMEIRA BAY, but I also think the ground has improved ESCOBAR‘s chances. Add the latter e/w to my earlier selections.

Ascot 4:15 It’s still LOUGANINI for me and NUITS ST GEORGE has a real chance.

Haydock 3:10 As threatened BALLINSKER is being backed like the good thing and is now 6s and 7s in places. Some of that is of course down to “drawn” horses, but if you haven’t got a decent e/w wedge on BALLINSKER, I’d go BALLINSKER WinCELESTIAL FORCE e/w – NORDIC COMBINED e/w – ¼ pt CFC

HELP KEEP THE RACEWEB VOICE ALIVE

Annual domain registrations, site hosting, software licences, form guides, research costs and a host of other minor and but not inconsequential outgoings are the burden for all website owners.

Even the smallest donation can make the difference between the Off and On switch.

It’s not just that once in a while we actually prove accurate, and you possibly make a bit of pocket money, but occasionally, we might perhaps suggest a view that could possibly change someone’s mind. For the better.

That’s a lot of Maybes and Possiblies, but sometimes we have to try and change a plan or encourage them to move a mountain, and if that means we make you smile, or shout with anger, or shake with laughter, then Huzzah!

That’s your donation that did that. Thank You.
