Exhausted. Surely this punishment can’t go on. Together with some 50,000 of my closest friends, I have chosen to self-isolate this week in a marquee or two at Cheltenham, where I am drip-fed Guinness, white and red wines of varying qualities and have to eat food to which only a very grumpy gourmet might turn his nose up. Despite all this, we continue to avoid finding the great “hit”, that wondrous moment when the 16/1 shot coupled in exotics with a 33/1 second and 25/1 third combine to pay the mortgage. Undeterred, we continue on.

As does the Pharoah of Galway, who despite a drear punting day, is still moaning about my failure to mention this morning that he had also advised THE CONDITIONAL yesterday at 15/2. I apologise. Always good to have a profitable day.

HELP KEEP THE RACEWEB VOICE ALIVE

Annual domain registrations, site hosting, software licences, form guides, research costs and a host of other minor and but not inconsequential outgoings are the burden for all website owners.

Even the smallest donation can make the difference between the Off and On switch.

It’s not just that once in a while we actually prove accurate, and you possibly make a bit of pocket money, but occasionally, we might perhaps suggest a view that could possibly change someone’s mind. For the better.

That’s a lot of Maybes and Possiblies, but sometimes we have to try and change a plan or encourage them to move a mountain, and if that means we make you smile, or shout with anger, or shake with laughter, then Huzzah!

That’s your donation that did that. Thank You.
