A Positive Mental Attitude is what is required as we try to recover from Goodwood, which was by no menas all bad, but actually lleft me physically drained. I spent yesterday with an eye-guy who confirmed that surgery is needed, if I am to avoid picking the wrong numbers off racecards when predicting £250+ winning Exactas!

Today I suggest the following:

2:00 Catterick: MAGNA MAGNOLIA ran very green in his first race, but had patently got the message in the way he finished. Anything over 6/1 would be a working man’s price.

4:10 Catterick: LET’S GO FLO has had two quick runs this season after a year-long absence but caught the eye last time out when making useful headway from 2f out to go down by 3¼l. The handicapper took another 2lbs off her

4:25 Newbury: WAFY looked as though the gelding operation had delivered some improvement when 4½l 2nd at Ascot. There is some pace today which will make it a decent mile test and the yard has high hopes.

5:25 Nottingham: Tom Dascombe might have underestimated SIR BORIS‘ abilities, as I for one am surprised to see him here rather than entered for a decent C3 elsewhere. His 6l victory LTO, admitedly on Soft ground, suggested there was a lot more to come and the only question is going to be whether he needs cut.

6:05 Newbury: Ed Walker’s JACK D’OR went into the notebook back in June when looking every inch a decent 10f horse. That opinion peristsed LTO when he made his AWT and Handicap debut at Kempton over 1m. 8/1 or better and e/w.

HELP KEEP THE RACEWEB VOICE ALIVE

Annual domain registrations, site hosting, software licences, form guides, research costs and a host of other minor and but not inconsequential outgoings are the burden for all website owners.

Even the smallest donation can make the difference between the Off and On switch.

It’s not just that once in a while we actually prove accurate, and you possibly make a bit of pocket money, but occasionally, we might perhaps suggest a view that could possibly change someone’s mind. For the better.

That’s a lot of Maybes and Possiblies, but sometimes we have to try and change a plan or encourage them to move a mountain, and if that means we make you smile, or shout with anger, or shake with laughter, then Huzzah!

That’s your donation that did that. Thank You.
