CHELMSFORD 18:30 CALEDONIAN CRUSADE 1pt e/w

Not much form to go on in this race but I am following Gleneagles progeny and the Simcock / Spencer combination does extremely well at this track. I got 12-1 last night but he will be shorter come race time.

CHELMSFORD 19:30 FELIX THE POET 1pt e/w

A front running Lope de Vega dropped in class, trained by Archie Watson and ridden by Holly Doyle. This is a competitive race but at the current price of 14-1 this gelding is very good value.

CHELMSFORD 20:00 HIGHLAND ACCLAIM 1pt e/w

Back below the mark on which he completed a double at Lingfield, O’Meara’s gelding should go well at this track and is, crucially over this 6f, well drawn. The in form Jamie Spencer rides him and he is great value at 7/1.

CHELMSFORD 20:30 CATAPULT 1pt e/w

Keighley / Gordon are 3/7 here and Catapult ran well for a long time over 7f here in August but faded in the final furlong. The drop back to 6f may help and 10-1 is, again good value.

HELP KEEP THE RACEWEB VOICE ALIVE

Annual domain registrations, site hosting, software licences, form guides, research costs and a host of other minor and but not inconsequential outgoings are the burden for all website owners.

Even the smallest donation can make the difference between the Off and On switch.

It’s not just that once in a while we actually prove accurate, and you possibly make a bit of pocket money, but occasionally, we might perhaps suggest a view that could possibly change someone’s mind. For the better.

That’s a lot of Maybes and Possiblies, but sometimes we have to try and change a plan or encourage them to move a mountain, and if that means we make you smile, or shout with anger, or shake with laughter, then Huzzah!

That’s your donation that did that. Thank You.
