I’m quite relieved to be socially unattached today. My TV and a roaring planet-destroyer are calling with Racing, EuroFooty, Grand Prix and maybe even a bit of left-over take-away Chinese washed down with beer and no glass … a real boys-at-home “Slack Order” day.

Yesterday could have worked out better on the tipping front – but I had the jolliest day at Cheltenham surrounded by good chums and they all seemed to have a few winners. At the end of this post, you will find yesterday’s results, and it is fair to say that the ground, temperature, time of the year, traffic, Prince Andrew, The General Election and possibly even Ergophobia all played a part in denying us the all-correct solutions we had believed possible. However, here at Raceweb Towers, we need to try harder and to that end let me quickly give you my thoughts for today.

The Brazilian Grand Prix has, for the last eleven years, been won by the front rank. That gives you Max and Sebastian. Vettel hasn’t got his head on straight at the moment and the antagonism between himself and Le Clerc and the management is beginning to impact. That leaves Max and at 4/5 he is too skinny to back on his own. However, chuck him in with some nailed-on footy results and you’re getting some value. So I would suggest a five-timer on the following propositions for a 5/2+ return. Remember we’re only doing the footy because we’re looking to back Verstappen at the odds that reflect the realities of a Grand Prix with blown engines, poor team instructions and the vagaries of an uncertain world. 5/2 makes sense.

  • Max Verstappen wins the Brazilian GP
  • Portugal to win their Euro 2020 game today
  • England to win their Euro 2020 game today
  • France to win their Euro 2020 game today
  • Turkey to win their Euro 2020 game today

Next, we have Cheltenham and I would suggest

  • 1:15 ROLLING DYLAN e/w
  • 1:50 GETAWAY TRUMP
  • 2:25 POLITOLOGUE
  • 2:40 CAPTAIN CATTISTOCK – CHASMA e/w
  • 3:00 QUOI DE NEUF – DAME DE COMPAGNIE – BENNY’S BRIDGE
  • 3:30 ECCO – EDEN DU HOUX e/w
  • 4:00 EVERGLOW – TIME FLIES BY

The results are in and this is what we “achieved”. (1st Placed)

HELP KEEP THE RACEWEB VOICE ALIVE

Annual domain registrations, site hosting, software licences, form guides, research costs and a host of other minor and but not inconsequential outgoings are the burden for all website owners.

Even the smallest donation can make the difference between the Off and On switch.

It’s not just that once in a while we actually prove accurate, and you possibly make a bit of pocket money, but occasionally, we might perhaps suggest a view that could possibly change someone’s mind. For the better.

That’s a lot of Maybes and Possiblies, but sometimes we have to try and change a plan or encourage them to move a mountain, and if that means we make you smile, or shout with anger, or shake with laughter, then Huzzah!

That’s your donation that did that. Thank You.
